Willowfork Fire Department Station #2 Opens

::

Fort Bend County Emergency Services District (ESD) #2 opened Willowfork Fire Station #2 with a community open house and building dedication ceremony in June. The new station is located at 26950 Cinco Ranch Boulevard in Katy near the intersection of Katy-Gaston Road.

Willowfork Station #2 was placed into service on April 22nd and was constructed to maintain a high level of emergency and fire protection support. The Department operates under the command of Chief Billy Wilson.

Willowfork Station #2 is approximately 13,000 square feet of space containing three apparatus bays, firefighter sleeping areas, a full kitchen and living space, training room and office space.  With the new station in service, Willowfork Fire Department will now be staffed with 10 around-the-clock firefighters deployed between the two stations.  In addition, the Department includes volunteer firefighters who are also trained to respond and assist in calls.

The land for Willowfork Station #2 was generously made available by Newland Communities through Terrabrook Cinco Ranch Southwest, LP.  The architects for the project were BRW Architects, and LDF Construction was chosen as general contractor for the project.  Construction financing was provided by Trustmark Bank.
