One of Houston’s Largest Seasonal Employers Now Hiring for Upcoming Season


Typhoon Texas, one of the Houston area’s largest seasonal employers, is looking to fill more than 1,000 part-time jobs as the west Houston waterpark prepares to open for its fourth season on Saturday, April 20th.

Positions are available in Water Safety, In-Park Entertainment, Cash Control, Food and Beverage, Cabanas and Bars, Parking Lot Attendants, Maintenance, Front Gate, Retail, Birthdays and Park Services. The waterpark also offers internships within its Media, IT, Groups and HR departments.

Applications can be accessed online at www.typhoontexas.com. Completed applications submitted will be reviewed by the park’s management team. Applicants will be contacted for interviews hosted at Westland Baptist Church, located at 1407 West Grand Parkway South in Katy.

Besides the opportunity to work more hours than most seasonal jobs, team members receive over $6,500 in Team Member Perks. These include friends and family tickets, season pass for active team members, discounts with local retail shops and restaurants and more. Those in water safety who work through the entire season are reimbursed the cost of their water safety certification class.

Team members also are nominated to participate in leadership and career training sessions, which give them tools to achieve long-term success as young professionals regardless of whether or not they continue working in the aquatics industry.
