October 2018 – Exclamation Points

Henry Dibrell

Fall Fun

Fall is finally here, and with it comes the usual fall activities – the kids are back in their school routine, bands are marching, young ladies are playing volleyball and buying homecoming dresses and young men are on the gridiron.

In addition to what the fall norm typically brings, this October brings early voting and the midterm election. Please vote in our upcoming election to help insure we have the representation we need at all levels. Voting is more than a right; it’s a responsibility. We have included an early voting schedule in this issue on page 13, and we hope you find it helpful.

The American Legion Post 164 stepped up for two Katy ISD elementary schools in a big way. They provided much needed school supplies to help children start off the new year prepared. Thank you to American Legion Post 164 for their service and commitment to our youth.

October also brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in our Focus on the Cure section, we have some great articles to help inform you and your loved ones. We are fortunate to have some amazing resources in Katy, and we share with you several informative pieces.

Finally, I would like to introduce you to our newest team member. Tammy Kirk is making sure we have Katy events covered in Kickin’ in Katy. If you have a great event that you would like to share with the community, please let Tammy know about it at TammyKirk@me.com.

Have a great October vote, enjoy some Friday night lights and let’s stand with the women in our lives in supporting the eradication of breast cancer.

Absolutely yours,

Henry Dibrell
