November Programs at Cinco Ranch Branch Library

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Cinco Ranch Branch Library, located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd. in Katy, presents a variety of free children’s programs, adult computer classes, book clubs and special programs for people of all ages each month. Craft Club at Cinco Ranch: November 13th and 27th, 10 am to noon, people of all experience levels who enjoy any type of crafting are invited to attend this new monthly drop-in event to get other crafters’ perspectives, critiques and suggestions. Chat and network with other crafters who enjoy anything from art and needlework to woodwork and much more. Those attending should bring their projects and their own crafting supplies. Samples of the library’s instructional books, magazines and websites on various crafts will be available. The group will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month.

Family Movie Day: On November 19th at 1:30 pm, this animated action-adventure film is a sequel to a popular movie about a family of crime-fighting superheroes in Metroville. Elastigirl becomes the new face of superheroes while Mr. Incredible stays home to care for the kids. Managing baby Jack’s newly emerged powers is almost as much of a challenge as preventing the new supervillain, Screenslaver, from wreaking havoc on the world with his mind-control abilities. This movie is rated PG.

Minecraft Monday: On November 26th at 4:30 pm, enjoy a Minecraft challenge for students in grades 4 through 8. Reservations are required. Register online at, click on “Events,” select “Cinco Ranch Branch Library” and find the program or register by calling 281-395-1311.
