Brookwood Community Christmas Open House Scheduled for December 1st and 2nd

Join The Brookwood Community on Friday, December 1st and Saturday, December 2nd from 9:30 am to 3 pm for a weekend full of fun, shopping and yuletide cheer at the annual Brookwood Christmas Open House event benefiting Brookwood’s adults with disabilities.

Shop for a good cause and let your retail dollar do double duty, just in time for the holidays. Conveniently located off of I-10 ten minutes west of Katy, visitors can shop at Brookwood’s Gift and Garden Center filled with the Citizen’s handcrafted products, unique holiday home décor and gifts, clothing, jewelry and an assortment of beautiful plants and poinsettias that were planted and meticulously cared for by the Citizens. Shoppers can enjoy a delicious lunch in Brookwood’s gourmet Café and take a self-guided tour of the campus. The Brookwood Citizens will also perform a Christmas pageant both days at 10 am and 2 pm which is always the highlight of the weekend and sure to put the entire family in the holiday spirit.

Founded over 30 years ago, The Brookwood Community has provided an educational environment that creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging and awakens real purpose for adults with disabilities. As a nonprofit organization that does not accept any government funding, Brookwood relies on the support of events like the Christmas Open House to fund the work programs and residential homes that serve over 225 adults.
