Roosevelt Alexander Elementary (RAE) Special Buddies program

Childhood has many challenges, and these challenges are even greater when a child has a disability. Recognizing the opportunity they have to make a positive difference in their school environment is the mission of the Roosevelt Alexander Elementary (RAE) Special Buddies program. The program extends a caring hand to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promotes awareness and inclusion of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities by pairing up children as “Buddies.” On May 25th, the RAE Special Buddies Program ended another wonderful year of friendship with an end of year party to celebrate the milestones met and bonds made.
