Exclamation Points!

Right on the heels of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Tribute to Katy Gala, which recognizes our Business, Citizen and Volunteer of the Year, are more events that get us together with friends, neighbors, and special guests to celebrate the place that we call home.

The Fulbrook Cork and Culinary Fair, which takes place in Katy’s favorite neighboring city of Fulshear, is one of those. On April 14th, the wine will be chilled, each course of the dinner expertly prepared and some of the best local chefs and visiting celebrity chefs will be rubbing elbows with us as we partake in an extraordinary event. Here you will find a chance to sample new wines, enjoy the beautiful countryside in Fulshear and soak up some friendly neighborhood spirit. I have been to a similar event there, dining under a white chandeliered tent with the vineyard in view, and it was such a beautiful evening. I highly recommend it and that is not the wine talking!

Since we know that home is where the heart is, we have focused this issue on our homes and how we can add to their value with a Pulliam Pool, Simply Divine Interiors makeover or some show-stopping statement pieces from Far Pavilions. Our home is where we spend most of our time with our family and friends and well worth the investment.

In addition, we have our regularly featured items and points of interest. I would like to note that since we have begun publishing monthly, the response has been gratifying. Many thanks for all of the nice comments and emails I have been receiving. We are sharing a few on this page.

Also, congratulations to Katy’s Business of the Year, CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital, Volunteer of the Year, the ARC of Katy, and our Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Ray Wolman. You are all so deserving!

I absolutely! love Katy!

Claudia

Reader feedback

Dear Claudia: Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to get such a wonderful article in your magazine. We are impressed of the traffic that it has driven to our Katy location. Many clients comments are “I know everything about your store, I read the article in the magazine.” It has been wonderful to work with you and please come to visit us more often so that you can get a taste of new products we usually introduce on every season.

Warm regards,

Dear Claudia,
I’m in touch because I want to let you know how thrilled Wayne, Vicki and Dr. Vanzant, as well as many others here at Methodist West Houston are with the January feature on our hospital! The article and photos really turned out beautifully and your comments in the publisher’s letter are much appreciated. As I’m sure you can imagine, I’ve been fielding many requests for the issue, so I’m pleased that Andrea was able to bring some additional copies for us to distribute. Thank you!

Here’s to a wonderful 2012.
Best,
Virginia
